No relief for Mr Mitchell MP in the "plebgate" affair

Andrew Mitchell MP v News Group Newspapers Ltd – Judgment 27 November [2013] EWCA Civ 1537

The Court of Appeal have ruled against the appeal of Mr Mitchell for relief against sanctions applied in relation to costs budgeting when assessing costs. Here is a link to Temple Gardens Chambers' news item. It contains a summary of the case and principles and a copy of the CA Judgement. This ruling will be important regarding all cases concerning relief from sanctions in relation to inadequate Costs Budgets.
